The Last Supper

Friday was my dad's 58th birthday. To celebrate his birthday, my brother and his family came into town so we could have one last family dinner at the house we have lived in since the summer before I started 1st grade. My parents are moving to Liberty Park this Friday to get closer to us and to my grandmother. My brother wanted to prepare dinner so I took on cake duty.

It was certainly news to me that Brandon could cook so well! We felt like we were at a gourmet restaurant. He made grilled porkchops covered with gouda cheese and mushrooms, red skinned mashed potatoes, and vegetable stir fry. I slaved over the cake - ordering it at Publix...Nascar themed because my dad is a fanatic! All in all it was so much fun to all be together before my parents move and we start making new memories in the new house. Happy Birthday Pops!

I love this picture-the first one of Pops with all of his grandchildren

WHAT AN EVENING...ACTUALLY WHAT A WEEKEND!!! On top of all the yummy stuff you talked about, the true "icing on the cake" was getting to be with our family and then Sunday morning, all of us were together to witness Will being churched. What a SPECIAL WEEKEND!!!! Thanks kids for making it possible :)
