For Your Listening Pleasure
I have debated adding a playlist to my blog since I first had a friend add one to theirs. I think it is fun, however sometimes if I am checking blogs and forget that John has the sound turned up loud from watching his lectures online I get blasted with someone's music as soon as I click. Given my recent emotional state, I wanted to add the playlist and try it out for a while. Let me explain. Some of my friends have told me that they reached a point in pregnancy when they were especially emotional and would cry for no reason at all or at the smallest things-happy or sad. I had one of these moments on Saturday. John and I got up bright and early to head to Auburn so he could go to the game with some friends and I was just going so I could hang out with Shealy for the day. On the way, the song "Watching You" by Rodney Atkins came on the radio. The first verse wasn't even complete before I had tears rolling down my face. John noticed me sniffling and had no idea what was going on. I told him it was just the first time I had heard the song since we found out we were having a little boy. For some reason, I just could not contain my tears. If you have never heard the song, stay on my blog until it is over so you can hear it. It is a precious song about a daddy and a little boy and how the little boy is watching every move the dad makes because he wants to be just like him. It just makes me smile when I hear it because I can't wait to see our little boy with John, knowing someday he will want to be just like him. Okay, enough sappiness for one post. I hope you enjoy the recent addition of music. I will add other songs one day, but for now, I think this one works just fine!

I absolutely love the music choice! And as for the emotional state of pregnancy...I definitely started it today at church. Yep, tears streaming down my face. It was awesome! So glad we got to hang out...I love you!
Well, I read this blog every other day, but never leave you a message, so here I am! You look fabulous and I couldn't be happier for the two of you! Don't worry about the emotional state! Just wait until your teaching those hormonal fifth graders and one says something that turns you the wrong way. You will tear up and they will really think they have messed up! :-) Hang in there! Hope to see you soon when I am in town!
Anne gave me your website and I've been enjoying keeping up with you! Dan and I love this song too! We actually call Davis buckaroo very often and now Isaac gets it too... after hearing this sweet song! It's becoming even more real to us as Davis is 20 months and copying/repeating everything we do and say!
