This is what John woke up singing this morning (Glory, Glory to Old Auburn...). He sings this every morning of game day, so I guess A-Day counts. We left bright and early this morning headed for Auburn. I wasn't sure how the day would go since we got off to a rough start-I had to go back into the house 3 separate times after we had locked the door and set the alarm for various things I forgot. Then when we were all finally loaded up, John forgot that last night he parked his car behind my side of the garage, and backed right into his own car with my car! I tried not to laugh, knowing it would not help the situation but I was cracking up inside. Thankfully, no damage done and we were off to Auburn for Kirkley's birthday party and A-Day.
Kirkley's mommy has been a great friend of mine since my first year teaching in Auburn. We met Shealy there and Will and Kate had a blast at the pony themed party. Holly did not disappoint with precious decorations and an adorable favor (trail mix with a sticker reading "Happy Trails to You"...so cute!)
Will was a little in awe of a real live pony.

So he spent a lot of his time on the fake one, which I think he preffered over the real one.

And he and Kate did a lot of this...they were super content swingin with their cups in the shade. No photo shoot this time (sorry to disappoint) :)

After the birthday party, Shealy and I met up with the boys for lunch at Niffer's and then headed to campus. I could not believe how packed A-Day was. They announced on the Jumbo-Tron that 63,000 people were there. All but the upper deck was filled-it was crazy!

We met up with this little cutie at the game. Meet Ava. We have become really good friends with our neighbors down the street and Will and Ava love to play together. Look how cute she is trying to put her arm around Will.

It got pretty hot in the stadium, but Will was such a trooper. He was extremely overwhelmed right when we walked in. This was his first time
in the stadium, though he was
introduced at just over 2 weeks old.

Every time the music came on or the crowd cheered, little man would clap too! It was adorable.
He stayed put pretty much the first half. During halftime and the 3rd quarter we had to entertain him with food-he had his first taste of frozen lemonade and finished off all the goldfish, cheerios, and fruit snacks I had in our diaper bag.
So then he entertained himself by getting in some face time with Cousin Emma...

And then he wanted down....which is quite a predicament when you are jammed in a stadium which is made up entirely of concrete. He squirmed and squatted as best he could until we finally had to call it a day with about 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

I tried snapping a quick pick with daddy, but he had already put on his "I'm done" face.

All in all, we had a great time. John said that we would come to A-Day every year and that would be the test if Will was ready to attend an actual game in the fall. John reported that Will failed this year...he may not make an appearance in the actual stadium come September, but I am sure we will be back in Auburn real soon!

Brooke, It sounds like ya'll had a great time in Auburn this weekend. So glad A day was a success for Will. He was a trooper- EJ and his friends didn't make it THAT long in the stadium yesterday. They said it was so hot. Have you guys recovered from a long day yesterday?
