Alex was 7 months old on January 1st. It is a good thing I have an iPhone with a decent camera....because almost all of the pictures snapped of our sweet little boy these days are with my phone. He is still precious and a joy to be around.

No teeth yet! I figure one is going to pop through any day now. He did hit some milestones this past month, like sitting up and saying Da-Da. I had to give him a little hair cut yesterday. He had one piece of hair on the back of his head that when brushed, went down past his shoulders and another piece that hung over his ear like really crazy sideburns. As you can see....no shortage of hair!

He is the most "giggly" right after he gets out of the bathtub and he gets the hiccups every single time you make him laugh.

Now that he is sitting up so well, he joins us for dinner when we eat out in his very own highchair. The kid can't wait to get his hands on real food. Instead of playing with his toys attached to his high chair cover, he stays much more preoccupied with trying to reach our food. His mouth hangs open and drool drips down while he watches us eat. He tried a "puff" for the first time yesterday and I think once he gets the hang of it, he will love them, and they will provide a fun distraction while we eat!

He took his first ride on Will's choo choo Friday. Will thought it was hysterical and said "Alex cracks me out." (He meant cracks me up, which made John and I laugh incredibly hard!!)

He is such an easy baby to take out and about. Right before Christmas Alex ran errands with me all day and stayed content in his carseat. He snoozed a little bit and people-watched a little bit, but never cried the first tear. I see LOTS of leisurely strolls through Target in his future :)

We don't go for another checkup until he is 9 months old (March). I would guess he is hovering extremely close to 20 pounds. His car seat only holds babies to 22 pounds so I have a feeling he is going to be in a big boy car seat sooner than Will was.

He is LOVING all of his Christmas loot. His favorites at the moment are this Play and Learn Puppy that talks and sings and this gumball machine that big plastic "gumballs" come out when you push the button. It lights up and plays music. He has figured out how to press the button and this keeps him occupied for a pretty long while on the rug. Where has the time gone?? Won't be long until I am busy planning a FIRST birthday party!!! (WOO HOO-that will mean school is out for summer!!!).
