Woo Hoo
This is so stupid, but I felt the need to post it since the only person I have to talk to around here is a very sleepy 3 week old. Recently, I gave back all the maternity clothes that I borrowed (from 3 different people). I was so ready to get them out of my closet!!! However, since giving them back I still haven't been able to wear any of my pants. I have lived basically in lounge pants or my maternity jeans. I am tired of them. I am sick of elastic waist bands. I need buttons and zippers!! So this morning, I stared into my closet into my section of jeans. I tried every pair on last week and none fit. I knew I probably shouldn't try again but I couldn't resist. Low and behold one pair fit!! I felt like Miranda on Sex and The City when she finally gets into her skinny jeans! Granted, these are not my skinny jeans, they are a pair I didn't wear very often, but I am just so happy to be able to wear normal clothes. I definitely still have some pounds to go but I feel like a new woman...complete with a button and a zipper!

Brooke, that's awesome!! Congratulations on getting back to the buttons and zippers. I know that can be such a challenge. But look at you! Three weeks in and you are already getting back to some of the pre-Will clothes. :o) Yay for Brooke!!
And I have loved seeing all your posts about Will. It's so cool seeing how much you guys love him and how wonderful of an addition he is to your family. So happy for you guys!
Ha..such a cute post! Yay for zippers and buttons. We will all be there one day to relate :)
that's huge brooke! i know that feels so good! :o)
yay! how exciting!
I know exactly how you feel! I kept trying on my jeans and finally got into a pair this week. I've worn them EVERY day since then! Congrats on your accomplishment :)
Way to go Brooke!!! That is such a monumental moment. I can still remember it.
Will you please send me your home address when you get a chance?
Congrats:) Funny you mentioned the Miranda episode because it was on this afternoon on TBS! Haha Give that sweet little boy a kiss for me! I cannot wait to see him again. :)
At least you were smart enough not to try on your jeans the day you came home. I felt SO much smaller that I was compelled to try mine on when I came home with Porter. BAD idea! :) But isn't it a bit like going shopping in your own closet after being away from "real" clothes for so long? Cheapest shopping trip EVER! (Call Dave Ramsey on THAT one! haha)
Hey as a woman who is struggling to fit into her maternity clothes, I am extremely happy for you!
