Babymoon Bound!

Finally! We have been planning this trip to the beach since August and it never felt like it would get here. I introduced two words into John's vocabulary shortly after we found out I was pregnant: 1) babymoon and 2) push present. In all honesty, I had never heard of a "babymoon," however I was quite familiar with push presents. We really wanted to go somewhere far away that we had never been together (we were thinking New York), but we really just couldn't justify spending that kind of money when we are trying to save and buy for the baby. So of course the beach is just fine with us. All we plan on doing is sleeping in, cooking yummy breakfast, watching tv, walking on the beach, and eating out. Literally. John said since we definitely won't be laying out on the beach this trip (people might report seeing a beached whale-:) just kidding) that we could go out to eat for lunch and dinner since we really wouldn't have much else to do. I am also hoping to hit up the outlets one afternoon. I am just excited to be getting away for a long weekend (We both took Monday off). John has had 2 midterms this week for grad school so needless to say I haven't really spent any time with him since Friday. Saturday of course was not a good day to bond and Sunday he started studying right after church. I am ready to just get some undivided attention!! I have been feeling pregnant for the past few weeks. I am SWOLLEN! I drink tons of water trying to keep this from happening but I think since I am on my feet all day teaching, that isn't really going to help. I got a pedicure last week and the sweet lady rubbed on my feet for a long time and she kept saying "oh you poor thing" because when she would press into my foot, an indention would be left there for a while. There have been some nights that you couldn't tell where my leg ended and my foot began. I have tried sleeping with them up on a pillow, but in the middle of the night I always toss and turn around. Will is definitely on the right side. We watched him tonight roll around and kick like crazy. We are almost mesmorized by it--it is so weird to think there is a 2lb. living thing inside there. Tonight he put on a show! Earlier today, he was laying on one of my organs. I don't know which one, I just know that it was not comfortable! I can only imagine what it is going to feel like when he weighs 6-7 lbs. At any rate, I could not be more excited for a weekend away with the husband. Weird to think this will be our last "just the two of us" trip for a while!

I hope you guys have a great time on your BabyMoon. When I was pregnant with Haley Kate, Greg would jiggle her around and wake her up just so that she could put on a show for him :-)

You two(and 1/2) have a wonderful time and get lots of bonding time in :) Don't worry about Mr."B"...we'll take good care of him for you.
love, mom

ps...the "pregnant book"(at the book store)said to lay on your left side as much as possible at this stage of pregnancy(27 wks).
