Back to School

Tomorrow begins the third week of the boys being in their new classes with new teachers at school. Tomorrow is also my first day with my new batch of 5th grade kiddos. I knew if I didn't get these pics of the boys first day of school (taken 2 weeks ago) up before tomorrow, it wouldn't happen for a while.

I am amazed at how much they have changed since last year's obligatory school pics. Will's sweet face is starting to look more "little kid" and Alex's thigh rolls are gone! This year it was a little harder to take pics of them because they are very much BOYS and wanted to look at bugs on the ground, or run around in the middle of the street. They are also very much BUDS these days. They play pretty well together and love to be near each other. Sometimes Will is too rough, but Alex lets him know about it!!

 Alex has the same teachers that Will had in the 2 year old class so they have known Alex since he was born. They told me on Tuesday when I dropped him off that they had nicknamed Alex "Pops" because he is so slow :) They said he is always in the back of the line walking through the halls like he is in an art museum and taking it all in :) He is the last to finish eating too. I told them that sounded just like him and his laid back self.

 When did they get so big?!?

 And I guess these pictures of Will don't really need a caption. He is a MESS. On the second day in his new class he had to sit in the "Grouchy Bird Chair" for 15 seconds because he wasn't listening...

...Imagine that... ;)

Now I need to get to sleep! John thinks it is hilarious that I still get the "anxious" first day jitters. Happens every year. I am excited to start a new school year and blessed to have a job that allows me a fresh beginning each and every year.
