Various Updates

It is time for a new post. No Jenny, I was not going for a record on how many people could comment on just one post, but many thanks to all your comments about Baby V. We are settling into the idea and getting excited and greatly appreciate your excitement and support.
To update you on random events since we got the big news...
-Our house is still a work in progress. I am going to put some pictures at the bottom just so you can see some of the finished areas...well almost. I only took pictures of the rooms that were basically finished. Definitely not the time for a bedroom or guest room picture. But the important areas made it-the kitchen table (that we bought in Jan. because I LOVED it, but just got it put together like 3 weeks ago), the dining room (my favorite room in the house, although the one we spend the LEAST amount of time in), and the den (definitely John's favorite room in the house because of our most recent purchases, the L couch and the monster television.
-I have been in workshops for the past 2 weeks and am pleased to say that I am done with all of that until the end of July!!
-John has been a huge help as of late when I have felt like doing absolutely nothing. On Saturday, John decided it was time to cut the grass. EJ, our cousin, generously offered their old lawn mower until we could buy one. He oiled and gassed it up and pulled it out of the garage on a very hot Monday afternoon, only to see some yard men at the house next door and down the street. Sweating profusely already, John made the executive decision (I was still in a workshop) to get them to cut our grass so that he wouldn't have to. I cracked up when I got home-so much for do-it-yourself. His excuse was that he needed someone else to get it under control so that he could just maintain it...
-One of my dear friends from childhood is getting married this weekend so we have all the fun festivities beginning tonight. It should make for an eventful weekend!
I guess that is just about it...as far as a belly pic per Holly M and Jenny's request, you can forget it (even though I am definitely already showing and none of my pants fit). Yes, I am only 10 weeks. We went to dinner with a couple last night-she is due in November. I am definitely showing more than she is! John tried to make me feel better by telling me that it is just because I am shorter and so the baby has no where to go but out...right!

I love your kitchen table. You will love the bench! Look Brooke I don't appreciate being called out twice in a blog when everyone else wants a belly pic too.

The house looks beautiful, we are actually coming to B'ham this weekend for a soccer tournament. I know you will be busy with wedding stuff, but maybe we can stop by Sunday to see you, the house, the baby, Bently, oh and that other guy- John.

I'm with you on the belly pic, B. Don't show it to anyone if you don't want to. And don't compare yourself to tall people. They never look like they're nearly as pregnant as us shorties - not fair AT ALL!
And the house looks lovely. I love the sectional - great idea for a large room. Get lots of rest and eat anything you want!! Love - K

I'm boycotting your blog until we get a profile pic. Not fair for you to move and not give belly updates. Nothing scary, but I can't believe strangers are approaching you! :) House looks great! I'm just getting to look at these!
