I digress...
After reading through the comments and some of my email, I felt I should post an epilogue perhaps to the previous post. Thank you all for your sweet and encouraging words. It is sometimes so easy to forget how extremely easy my pregnancy has been. Of course it gets uncomfortable and sleepless, but I guess you should just assume that goes with the territory. I have been so blessed to feel great, even as I type this. I also know that I really should be enjoying this time with my precious husband while it is just the two of us. I was thinking that while laying in bed this morning, John still asleep. It won't be like this for much longer in two senses...we actually slept until 10:30 this morning which I don't think has happened ever(and won't happen again for at least 20 years as John always says) and we are about to add one on to the family, meaning it won't just be the two of us anymore. We will constantly have another person to think about. How exciting! But I am going to do my best starting today and for however long Will delays his arrival to focus on quality time with John and the pup. Thanks for reminding me not to wish these days away! For those who have asked, Will is head down and in position which is a major plus. That was confirmed yesterday. I am getting around very well and am walking every day. The weather has been a major help in this, seeing as it was 70 degrees yesterday.

Nada
Nada. Nothing. Zip. This is how much I have dilated. Really??? Will has been cooking in there for 38 weeks and there is absolutely NO sign that he is ready to come out. I had my appointment today. The doctor just said he wasn't quite ready...that he must really like the womb. Well his momma thinks he would like his crib a lot better!! I was even supposed to go to Auburn this weekend to see some old friends and take a photography class to learn how to use my new camera. Dr. R definitely nixed that too. He said I didn't need to travel farther than an hour away and he didn't really want me doing that. So I guess me and my undilated self will just be sitting at home and returning to work on Monday. I go back on Tuesday for another check so hopefully there will at least be some progress made. Dr. R said we would have a baby by January 15. If I haven't gone into labor or dilated any by my due date (1/14) they will induce me. I am not keen on the idea of being induced so please pray that the little guy comes on his own by then!

Christmas Recap
It has been quite a busy week for us, but one we have enjoyed so much. Our Christmas festivities started this past Sunday when my brother and his family were in town. Everyone came over here for dinner on Sunday night. I roasted a turkey in the oven (my very first time! and learned how to do it by googling it...) and John carved it. It ended up being quite delicious. I thought it would be a good idea to build a gingerbread house with my niece and nephew...it did not work so well. Our walls would not stay together and trying to keep my patience and holiday cheer, I just gave Dylan and Sutherlan each an end of the house that they covered with icing and then decorated with all sorts of treats.
He found this right after he started looking into finishing the bonus room himself. I told him that if he finished by Christmas, he could buy whatever he wanted up there. He has been working really hard since he got finished with exams for this semester and I figured every Christmas after this he would not be the center of attention anymore, so I opted to go ahead and get it for him. He knew what it was as soon as he saw the box, but was super excited. Now if we can just get that room finished!! It is coming along. He and his dad are up there making a lot of noise as I type this. It is almost completely sheet rocked and should be ready to mud by Sunday.
I decided to be a scrooge today and go ahead and take down all of my Christmas decorations in the event that Caddy comes early...I didn't want an already dead tree lingering around here until February. I got everything boxed in new tupperware and tried to organize it better than we have the past 3 years.
I guess that is about all the updates I have for now. I go to the doctor on Tuesday for my 38 week check up.
I just had to post this picture of Bentley. This was a treat that was in his stocking from us...forget all the toys he got-he loves this thing. It said for small to medium dogs, but when they say small I don't think they mean 4.5 lbs. It is a block that he has been knawing on ever since we gave it to him.
Monday morning was our "Christmas morning" with my family since Brandon, Tessa, and the kids were heading back to Georgia later that afternoon. Wentzel, the Webb elf, did not disappoint and filled our stockings at Kiki and Pops' house since Kiki was sure to let Santa know when her grandchildren were going to be there. Even Bentley has a stocking (There are currently 10 stockings hung over my parents fireplace...mom made the comment that she had no idea where Will's was going to go next year, though I am certain she will find room!). Bentley cracks us up each year digging his head into his stocking and pulling his treats out. He even got a car seat from Kiki and Pops so he can ride with us more and won't feel left out since there is now a baby car seat back there as well! We aren't too sure what he thinks about it.
John worked on his man room on Monday afternoon and Tuesday. By Tuesday afternoon, he was sick. We aren't sure if it was just coming anyway or by being up there with no heat brought it on. Needless to say he was sick Tuesday night, and all of Christmas Eve. We did not get to go to church Christmas Eve because he just wasn't feeling well. Christmas morning we woke up in our own house with our own tree which was very exciting! I wasn't sure if I would have mixed feelings about it, but we loved just lounging around together and laughing at how different next Christmas morning will be. Will should be crawling in to see what Santa brought him! I made cinnamon rolls and we went through our stockings (which is my favorite part!). I got nursing pajamas and a diaper bag and John got this... an AUBURN fridge for the bonus room.

All that is missing is a baby....
(and a lamp shade...) Enjoy the pictures of Will's room. I consider it to be done with the minor exception of some odds and ends. However, it looks much better than it did 2 days ago. I am very pleased with the outcome. The pictures of the crib up close are a little dark. I am still learning to use my new camera :)

Over It
It has been a while! I have been meaning to post a picture of our Christmas tree, holiday decor, etc, but I haven't simply because it is not all that impressive. I will post a picture of the tree sometime this week just so you can see the glorious red and white lights at the TOP, however we don't have much decoration going on other than that and our stockings. I was so excited to buy a house and kept thinking about all the ways we would decorate it for Christmas. Are you surprised that it just hasn't happened?? I have been very lucky to have such an easy pregnancy...it has been great! But I'm over it! I am 36 weeks pregnant. I start going to the doctor every week starting tomorrow (pain), I don't sleep past 3:35 am (weird time, I know, but it has been the exact same time for a while - another pain), and I have about 3 shirts that I can wear comfortably (miserable). I'm not whining, I promise, but 9 months has never seemed so long! For about a week people have been telling me that it looks like he has dropped. I didn't think so until this morning. He is definitely getting ready! And his momma has been ready, so bring it!

Santa Came Early
This past Sunday was my Birmingham Baby Shower. So much fun! I was totally overwhelmed at all the gifts we came home with. John and I are so amazed at how wonderful our family and friends are. After unloading last night, we could only think of 2 major things we still need that we did not receive. That is unbelievable!! Eight of my mom friends gave this shower and they did such a great job to make it a special day for me and Baby Will. Sutherlan (my niece) was a great help with opening the presents. She provided lots of humor throughout the day!! John came to the shower just before it was over to make an appearance and help load up all the loot. Once we got home, it took us almost 20 minutes just to unload everything and then once it was all in the room, John was a bit anxious with the mess. So we decided to try and organize it. I went through clothes and filled drawers while John put the cradle swing and stroller together. We got the closet cleaned out, only to fill it with lots of baby stuff. Bentley was extremely overstimulated when we got home. He does not understand that just because something is soft and/or makes noise, does not mean it belongs to him. The swing really freaks him out because it plays like 15 different songs and sounds from the rainforest. Mix that in with the movement and he does not like it very much! Enjoy a few pictures from the shower. Only 5.5 more weeks-thank goodness! I feel great, but look a little round, and Allyson I definitely think my nose is starting to spread!
