Daddy's Day Project

Father's Day fell on the Sunday right after we returned from the beach on Saturday. I tried to have all my ducks in a row before leaving so that John wouldn't be slighted on this special day reserved for dads! We are so grateful for John and the light and laughter that he brings to our family.
I saw this idea on Pinterest and while it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be (there were A LOT of outtakes) and it didn't turn out quite as perfect as the original seen on Pinterest, it still turned out pretty sweet. The week before we left for the beach, both boys slept in their Batman pjs one night and that next morning I decided I would try to tackle this project thinking it would be cute since they matched. I dragged our bench outside so we could have some natural light and totally bribed Alex with M&Ms and Will with a popsicle at 8am. Alex moved so much more than I had anticipated and it was hard to capture at the right angle without something being out of focus. I am sure we were a sight to be seen all in our pjs, on our front sidewalk, me laying on the ground under the bench trying to capture the perfect picture, while both boys whined and ate their bribes unhappily. I just figured the back story behind the picture was pretty funny and worth remembering....I even love how you can see the little bag of M&Ms and what appears to be Alex's little lips in mid chew!
