Yard Art

Look who appeared in our yard on Friday afternoon...and it seems he is here to stay. Will is beside himself...so am I....just maybe not for the same reasons :)
Last year there was a house right across the street from Will's school that had an inflatable Aubie in their yard. They kept it up the entire football season and Will looked forward to seeing Aubie each morning. If the owners hadn't plugged him in yet when we passed, Will would say that Aubie was still going night-night! He has talked and talked about Aubie, so this year John decided to get him his own Aubie for our yard. I'm not so sure John bought this for Will.....he seems just as pleased with it!The McCleary's came over to watch the game with us on Saturday and Will and Ava had a blast outside with Aubie.
Every Christmas I always see yards with inflatables in them and think how tacky they are. Now I am the one with an inflatable in the yard....the things we do for our kids (and their daddies)!

We finally got to snap a few pictures of Ally and Alex. Ally was born a month and a half after Alex. She is too cute and both babies were so great Saturday-they slept pretty much the entire game! It is so fun having such sweet friends with kids basically the same ages as Will and Alex. It makes it even better that they live right down the street!!
Will wanted in on the picture taking, but wouldn't cooperate for the group picture...go figure!In case Saturday didn't quite get you into the football spirit...or you just need a good laugh, click here for the priceless video I post every year.

WAR EAGOR

This is how Will used to say War Eagle....sadly as the days pass by he is starting to lose some of his precious baby talk and sound like a big kid. This morning he could. not. wait to wear his Auburn jersey to school. We shelled out the big bucks this year to get him a "real" one. He LOVES it and would prefer to never take it off. So decked out in his new jersey and Auburn socks, I snapped a few pictures before school.Our second year in Auburn we rented a house in a small neighborhood. This was back when kids weren't even on our radar. Lots of kids lived in the neighborhood and every morning while I ate my breakfast, I watched little kids with their parents walk to the curb and wait for the bus. One Friday morning just before football season started, I spotted one particular kid that made me smile. I called John and told him that I had just seen our future child....A kindergarten little boy anxiously awaiting the bus looking SO proud to be wearing his Auburn jersey, Auburn socks, and Auburn backpack. The kid was decked out head to toe. I knew that someday we would have a little boy that would look just like this. And today that became a reality...John's mini me. Once Will was dressed this morning, I thought of that little boy on the curb waiting for the bus.
We are planning to take Will to an Auburn game at the end of September. When asked what we do at football games he quickly replies, "Eat M&Ms and say WAR EAGLE, HEY!!!!" I don't know about the War Eagle part but I've got the eating M&Ms thing down :)

Holy Moly! I'm 3 months old!!!Time is flying by and our sweet little Alex has already been here three months. He is still a precious, perfect baby and super easy. He is laid back, hardly bothered, and we rarely every hear him cry.He started sleeping through the night 3 weeks ago which has made ALL the difference in the world at our house. It is amazing what just a few hours of consecutive sleep will do for you! Those newborn days are ROUGH, but at least they are short lived.He is still on a three hour schedule. We put him to bed at 8pm and he sleeps anywhere between 6 and 7. He wakes up SO happy and snatching him up before I head to work really is the perfect start to my day.We don't go to the doctor this month, so I don't have actual stats. I weighed him the other day though on our scale and he weighed 17 pounds! He is a big boy! We love his rolls....there is a particular one on his lower thighs that is so deep you have to pry it open during his bath to make sure and get it clean.

Will LOVES him still and is so good with him. I can't wait until Alex is a little older and they can really interact with one another.I am so looking forward to having some extra time to kiss on those cheeks over the LONG weekend!!!

Will's First Tie

Yia Yia's Birthday

Last Saturday was Yia Yia's birthday. Everyone came over on Sunday night for birthday dinner. My sister in law was in charge of dessert.....Yia Yia isn't 552....She is 57. Steph got creative with the candles because she didn't have a 7.....So 5+2=7....makes perfect sense to me :) Will LOVES celebrating birthdays and helped Yia Yia blow her candles out.Will LOVES Papou. He is never far from him when Papou is around...Yia Yia wanted Alex in the picture with Will and Papou so it sort of looks like he is just floating...

LOVE Will's expression in this one. He and Papou are making the exact same face!!!

Rosemary Beach 2011

I can't believe I haven't put these pictures on the blog until now. My whole family went to Rosemary beach the last week in July. I can't remember the last time we went somewhere all together for a week! It was a blast watching Will interact with his cousins. This was my first time to stay in Rosemary Beach and it didn't take long for me to be completely sold on vacationing here every summer. SO kid friendly and family oriented, the house was awesome-very convenient to pool and beach, the little town had great shops and fun places to eat. My brother and his family have been going for the past few years and I now see why!! I didn't take as many pictures as I thought I would. With two kids, we were pretty busy, but it was so nice to have all the extra hands to let me get in a few afternoons at the beach/pool by myself and some one on one time for John and I with Will! We are already looking forward to another trip next summer! {if Pops and Kiki will take us again :)}














Thank you Kiki and Pops for such a great trip!! We loved every second and are looking forward to making more memories next year (hint, hint)!!!
